Tag Cards using Heidi Swapp Old School

Image
These cute tag cards were made using the Studio Light Accordian Tag die, so easy to do as it cuts ready made into the accordion without having to score and stick the tag together. The inside dies also make it perfect to add extra layers which I have done for some of my tag cards. The entire tag cards are made using Heidi Swapp Old School collection, making waves and art district 12x12 paper, stickers and tags, as well a combination of Docrafts  gems and embellishments, paper doily, docrafts denim heart, reedcraft rubons, tiny clips and some ribbon. The base of the cards were cut out in white cardstock, then I used a combination of spearmint and purple palasides cardstock and the 12x12 heidi swapp paper to do the layers. I cut out all the sayings on the Heidi Swapp Urban Stories 12x12, and used a combination of these, with the stickers and tags throughout the cards.  These can now be easily added to other projects or given as a card to someone special to add in their own mini photos, jo

Using a Stamp Platform - Two Step Stamp

Image
I absolutely LOVE my stamp platforms, and I have a few ranging from mini to large and all different brands. They are great to use for stamping images and building up colour to your desired look, and even more great when you have a two step stamp, or more steps to the stamp.  Once you have it lined up, that part is done for you and off you go! so easy and fun when making multiple of the same design. If you don't have a stamp platform, what are you waiting for???? Stamping Platform Video Happy Crafting Michelle xx

Mini Project using Heart Shape Canvas

Image
I am still recovering from an awesome craft retreat I attended with the wonderful Julie from Scrap of Your Life and my amazing friends. Busy weekend, with lots of fun and laughter and a awesome Mexican Themed Saturday night dinner, photo booth and dress up! Over the weekend I made these cute little hearts using the Do Crafts Bare Basics Heart Canvas shapes and adding Art by Marlene elements either with glue or dimensional and sticker quotes which I cut around. Each canvas was painted on the sides with Distress Ink Antique Bronze and Tarnished Brass. I then added Nuvo Mousse in Old Navy and Burnished Bronze using a flower stencil and spritzing some Distress Ink in Vintage White. They turned out super cute and now can be easily added to any project. You can find all the products from  Scrap of Your Life  and if you can't find what you need, message Julie and she will source it in! Happy Crafting Michelle xx

Simple Stories Vintage Great Escape Journal

Image
When I received the Simple Stories Vintage Great Escape paper, die cuts and stickers I knew exactly what project I was going to do as the collection matched great with my trip to Florida to Butterfly World and some of my favorite pictures. I created a journal folder using a piece of Kraft Cardstock and scoring it in the middle and adding four holes for the rings. I used the Simple Stories 100% Natural to create the front cover of the journal, and then sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Brushed Corduroy and Old Paper. I then splashed a little bit of Dylusions White Linen Spray with a brush and cut out the die ornate gateway using kraft cardstock and sponging it with the same ink. Once that was done, I built up the front cover using various elements from the sticker selection and die cuts. I used my wink of stella in red, green and clear to highlight the elements. I also added some black rhinestones. The inside was made using a combination of 6x8 pocket pages for the photos
